Checking Cases In: Managing Dental Case Flow
At Deluxe Dental, efficient case management is crucial for maintaining organization and ensuring timely patient care. This process helps us track the status of each case accurately.

Locate Patient Record
Begin by searching for the patient in our system. Ensure you have the correct patient record open before proceeding.

Access Lab Tracker
Once the patient profile is open, navigate to and click on the lab tracker. This tool is essential for monitoring the progress of each case.

Update Case Status
Locate the case that has just arrived. Right-click on this case and select “Mark As Returned”. This action will change the case status to green, indicating it is now in the office.
Note: If you notice a case marked in red, this signifies it is past due from the lab. In such instances, it is your responsibility to contact the lab immediately to inquire about the delay and update the case status.

Patient Notification and Scheduling
After updating the case status, contact the patient to inform them that their case has arrived. If an appointment hasn’t been scheduled already, arrange one at this time. Ensure that the appointment is set at a mutually convenient time for both the patient and our office.
