Additional Important Information:

  • Answer the phones no later than the 2nd ring even if it’s not your extension, you should answer any unoccupied ringing phone. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
  • After all patients are checked in you should keep yourself constantly occupied, as there are always things to be doing up front
  • Start with the scan pile, scan all documents into the correct patients smart docs, make sure EVERYTHING has a doctor’s signature or patient signature that needs one.
  • If documents need a Doctor signature, check the patient note to see which doctor seen the patient and get the doctor to sign before the end of day to scan.
  • EVERYTHING must be scanned by the end of the day, meaning its your responsibility to make sure the DR signs everything before they leave for the day.
  • After the scan pile you can move on to making sure everything upfront is organized and stocked.
